Why can't you earn GCX+ points and use a discount code?

Unfortunately, you can’t earn points when you receive a discount. Typically, discount codes will override the points system. Customers are free to assess both offers before choosing to use either the discount code or earn the GCX+ reward on the paid portion (i.e. credit card) of their purchase.
